Broomfield Eagles headed to State!! Every year our goal is
to still be competing on the last day of the season with a chance to win a
state championship, and this year is no different. We didn’t have our best meet
of the year at Regionals but it was still enough to pull out the victory and
earn our automatic team berth. We are seeded third for state (based on regional
qualifying scores) and will know Monday after the CHSAA seeding meeting what
our event order will be. Regardless of order, we’ll be ready!
Here’s our schedule for the week including events for state.
In honor of Halloween we are having spirit week this week at

Notes – The girls meet at Melanie’s house to do their hair and
then can carpool to breakfast. We do ask for a couple of parents to help carpool and attend breakfast so no competitors are
driving. Competitor’s breakfast is paid for by the school. Non-competitors are
again welcome and encouraged to attend if missing an entire day of school is an
option. Non-competitors are responsible for paying for their own breakfast.
Competitors are excused for the entire school day.
We will be given entrance passes for our team Friday when we
arrive, I have no idea how many passes we’ll get and won’t know until we
arrive. CHSAA is somewhat stingy with passes and there have been times when we
only receive enough for the competitors. Please have non-compeitors bring $8
just in case we don’t have extra.
Adult ticket prices are $10 for both Friday & Saturday
Seniors/Students are $8 for both sessions
Adults are $6 for Friday only
Saturday
Event Finals – if we
have girls that finish in the top-15 on any event Friday they will compete in
event finals on Saturday.
Open Warm Up
2:00pm
March In
3:55pm
Competition 4:00pm
Notes-FYI: The way the State meet runs is team and all around
results are determined Friday during the team competition. The top-15 finishers
on each of the four events then qualify for event finals on Saturday afternoon.
We’ll know at the conclusion of the meet Friday who, if anyone, has qualified
for Saturday.
The gym is full for the team competition so please plan on
arriving early enough to watch your daughter and/or the team and wear your BHS
gear…we’ll lay out the banners when we arrive but the stands fill up quickly
once the doors open around 2:30pm.
Coaches will buy and provide snacks again for this meet but
please be prepared to supplement a little extra for dinner depending on your
daughters wants.
